Why would I buy Sweetsation Therapy products vs. any other?

Sweetsation Therapy products were designed with health conscious mom in mind. They address the unique issues of pregnancy with beauty and safety. Most everyday skin care products from the luxury to drug store brands are not created for pregnancy and often include harmful ingredients that should be avoided during pregnancy. From stretch marks and acne to fatigue and pigmentation, Sweetsation Therapy offers targeted solutions with appropriate ingredients researched and tested for safety, irritancy and allergy. Incorporation of aromatherapy helps to treat not only precious skin but senses and mind too.
All Sweetsation Therapy used ingredients are listed on our site with their descriptions and even photos and have been checked against Cosmetic Safety Database.

Where can I find more information about your products?
Our site has the most up to date and complete information on Sweetsation Therapy products.

What is Organic?
Organic refers to the way agricultural products-food and fiber-are grown and processed. Organic food production is based on a system of farming that maintains and replenishes soil fertility without the use of toxic and persistent pesticides and fertilizers. Organic foods are minimally processed without artificial ingredients, preservatives, or irradiation to maintain the integrity of the food.

What does "Certified Organic" mean?
"Certified Organic" means the item has been grown according to strict uniform standards that are verified by independent state or private organizations. Certification includes inspections of farm fields and processing facilities, detailed record keeping, and periodic testing of soil and water to ensure that growers and handlers are meeting the standards which have been set.

Are your products hypoallergenic?
Our products contain organic, safe and effective ingredients that have withstood the test of time including plant extracts, botanicals and essential oils. Sweetsation Therapy avoids harmful ingredients that cause irritation or provoke allergic reactions, such as synthetic fragrances, which may contain phthalates and other irritants.
At Sweetsation Therapy we use only natural extracts, Essential Oils and their synergetic blends.

Are your products non-cometogenic?
This term refers to ingredients in beauty products that clog the pores and can cause blackheads, pimples or cosmetic-related acne. We do not use potentially comedogenic, non-natural ingredients like mineral oil, petrolatum, paraffin and dyes that are commonly found in other personal care products.

How long will my skin care products stay fresh and what is the best way to store them?
Sweetsation Therapy products are made in small batches with the finest fresh ingredients. We recommend that they are replaced every 2-3 years. Keep creams and oils in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat. This is especially important if you're stocking up by buying multiple products.

Where are Sweetsation Therapy products made?
Our products are proudly designed and made in the USA.

Do we use preservatives?
Yes, we do use preservatives to insure the best quality and freshness of our products. Our choice of preservative is Phenoxyethanol. It's derived from sage essential oil; safe and effective food grade preservative.
Please be wary of companies who claim that they do not use preservatives, since they are used to prevent growth of microorganisms and without preservatives the product can not guarantee freshness for more then 3 weeks.

Can I use Sweetation Therapy products if I am not pregnant?

Absolutely.  Sweetsation Therapy products were designed specifically safe for use during pregnancy incorporating the cleanest and safest ingredients possible, so it is even recommended to use them before and after the baby, to continue to care about your body in the best possible way. The line is intended for use pre-, during and post pregnancy. And don't forget that we have a line for your baby too.

What are the specific skin problems the Sweetsation Therapy line addresses?

Our research showed that there are four core issues that women believe require new solutions during pregnancy:

1. Stretch marks and itchiness as the belly grows.
2. Blemishes, pigmentation, acne or depleted dry skin due to hormones change.
3. Tired, swollen legs and feet that come with carrying excess water.
4. Fatigue and trouble sleeping that come with body changes, lack of comfort and anxiety.

Sweetsation Therapy offers products for each of these issues: Resilient and nourishing Ellasti*Belly Miracle Caviar and Oil, Exfoliating Gently Foaming Face Cleanser and Sun*Brella Triple action moisturizer with SPF 30+, Hydrating Night Cream with Lightening Action and Body pampering Ellasti*Body Hydrating Caviar Butter.

I've heard that stretch marks are hereditary so no cream or oil would help. Is that true?

We've heard about this theory too however we don't entirely support it. Whether you will get stretch marks or not also depends on your age, condition of your skin, your diet, hydration and even the place where you live and climate. As you get older you are more likely to get them since elasticity and hydration of your skin diminishes. This is why it is imperative to religiously apply rich lotions, butters, oils and creams on your belly, tights and breasts.  Everywhere, 3-4 times a day. If you're experiencing an itch - it's already too late (your skin is depleted). Little prevention goes a log way. And last, but not least.... stretch marks are NOT hereditary! Don't forget that there is also a father involved into making you. So you can't rely solely on the idea that if your mother has them, you will have them too, no matter what. After all you may have inherited your father's genes... But until you know for sure - prevent, prevent, prevent!
